• Did I create strong composition?

I think that i did create good composition because i really like the way that the photos look and are composed.

I like the way that i edited each one especially the flower one in the paper towel. 

• What would I do differently if I shot this assignment again?

if i did this one again i would probably take more of the flowers because i dont love the way the framed ones came out.

Which portrait is your favorite and why?

My favorite portrait is the first one of the girl in the orange top because i really like the way the natural lighting worked and i think that it looks the best with editing too. 

What was the easiest part of this process?
the easiest part was probably the editing because we went over it in class and it didnt feel difficult because i liked trying to edit the portraits even if it wasnt easy the first time. 
What was the hardest part of this process?

the hardest part was finding people to take pictures of and getting enough to edit that look good enough.

 1. What was your overall concept and did you succeed in crafting the cinemagraph the way you intended?

Our concept was to capture nature and we were looking for some sort of animal that was moving in the water but we settled with the water.

2. What do you like about your project?

I think the plainness of the water with only a small amount moving is really calming

3. What would you have done differently when creating your cinemagraph?

I wouldve tried to hold the camera more still when we were recording

4. What would have made this project easier to understand or create?

we had a lot of trouble saving it and getting it to post

The most difficult part was editing to figure out how to get them to not overlap and to make it look smooth

the easiest part was probably taking the photos because we just needed to figure out an action to do

• Which is your best image and why?

I think that my best image is the third one because its the coolest angle and the most creative out of the four. 

• Which is your lease successful image and why?

I think that the worst one is the first one because it is difficult to tell that she is spinning in the photo. 

• What is one thing you could have done better?

I think that we could have had more variety in the pictures and maybe done something that would be more action-like. 

• What would be your ideal action photography subject and why?

My ideal action subject would probably be some sort of trick whether that be in a sport or something like a flip or a skateboard trick that you could see the difficulty and read their face while they are doing something cool.

Station 1

Questions:

1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/Why not?

It was pretty difficult to get a good one of these because it had to be timed very perfectly and it was difficult to figure out when to actually take the photo

2. What did you like/not like about shooting water with the flash?

I liked not using the flash because I think that you could see the more defined drop better than when you would use the flash 

Station 2

Questions:

1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/Why not?

we hardly got any shot with this one and we found it pretty difficult to figure this one out. The paper blocked most of the light so we tried to lighten it in photoshop and it turned out wonky. 

2. What did you like/not like about shooting water with the flash?

We decided to take the flash off because with it on you couldn't see any details. we found this one the most difficult to shoot with either flash. 

Station 3

Questions:

1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/Why not?

this one was also very difficult to get a good shot as well. The timing was overall very very hard to perfect. We eventually got the hang of it and got what we think are the best shots out of the whole time. 

2. What did you like/not like about shooting colored water with the flash?

this one was probably the best outcomes with flash because we got the hang of it and figured out what we needed to do in order to get the best outcomes. 

Station 4

Questions:

1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/Why not?

This one was the easiest to get a good shot because we didn't need to have perfect timing we just needed to get enough shots to have variety. 

2. What creative adjustments did your team make for this shot?

We tried to add more colors that would fade into each other or that would mix and make more colors. We also added colors around the bowl to get a wider shot with more color. 

2. What did you like/not like about shooting water with the flash?

We choose to shoot without flash because when we shot with it it added a strange glare.

he was working at a botanical garden

I like the creativity that he shows through the angles he takes behind the wave and getting the vortex that he captures

• What do you not like about his work?

i like most of it but i think that i would like it more if he included more animals or coral that you can find in hawaii in his photos 

• What brand of camera does he use and how does he take it into the water?

Nikon D4s and he puts it into a special case

• Is this a career that you would consider, why/why not?

if i had the opportunity to i think i definitely would but personally i would rather be a photographer of things on land over the ocean just because i prefer that style

1. One thing you could have done better

I think that with this photo I could have tried to capture the ketchup squirting toward the camera more because I think that would have been a really cool angle.

I liked that i was able to get a photo of the squirting mid air instead of if it had already fallen or something.

If I had taken the photo seconds before I could have gotten the pages spread open so it looked more like it was mid air.

I liked the openness of the book because since it was a hard cover it was really hard to get the cover to stay when dropping it but i think that it was the right moment.

I could have captured the third candy cane falling as well because i only captured two in the photos

I liked the ripples in the water that the second candy cane got when it fell.
